My two and half weeks of vacationing before going back to work mode were slowly coming to an end. What a better way to spend my last weekend of vacation than spending a weekend in Santa Barbara and exploring Isla Vista. I know how much I say I love the city but spending the previous weekend at a yurt in Palm Springs and then spending Labor Day Weekend in a yurt in Santa Barbara felt so good. Felt so good to be away from all the drama and all the noise from the city.

Not gonna lie, it was kind of scary staying at Fairview Gardens which is actually on Chumash land. Specially knowing there’s a haunted original home from the 1800’s. Which is why I had to hold my pee all night long because I was so scared to go pee by myself in the middle of the night.

These two weekends really helped me see everything from a different perspective. Really start to focus on which direction I want to take my career and what my next moves will be. I mean I’m only 23, there’s still so much for growth and so many more things to learn. At least I know I’m on the right track.

These last four months left of the year I’ll be focusing on myself, in every aspect of it. #selfcare
